What is a Jantler?
Jantlers are large fluffy beasts native to the Mountains of Avo and can be found both in the wild and as tamed pets! They have strong limbs and claws with huge lungs to help with traversing the steep mountains and cliffs. They have pronged horns that grow from their cheeks and thick Keel-Bones on their chests, along with fluffy tails and limbs to keep warm!
Jantlers are herbivores and eat mostly fruit, using their fangs to break tree branches and get the fruit down.
Since Krin come in all shapes and sizes, they commonly use Jantlers to pull carriages to avoid having to commission a custom saddle for every unique Krin bodytype.
Jantlers must be trained to accept a saddle, as without proper conditioning they'll chew the straps off and ruin a perfectly good bit of equipment.
However once trained, Jantlers are able to run, climb, and even swim with a rider!
Baby Jantlers are called Fawns and have curled tails with blunted cheek-horns. They stay with their mothers for the first year of their lives. Once they grow their fangs in they are able to take care of themelves but aren't strong enough to hold a rider until around 3-5 years old depending on their overall size.
