The police national computer(PNC) is used when you are issuing someone a fine, adding a point onto their licence or searching a number plate up
It will be used in places like police station holding cells when you are sentencing someone to prison and you need to put there charges through the PNC . It will also be used when you are in a traffic stop and pulling people over for things like speeding and you need to issue them a small fine or issue a point onto their licence. Lastly it can be used to search up a vehicles number plate to check the owner of the vehicle to see for example if the person who is driving it ID does not match up to who the owner of the vehicles credentials
