In serving your God, you will occasionally be called to arms. Combat is a sub-game within the world of Hangata that allows the chance to find a variety of prizes, ranging from a handful of Moonflower Coins, to whole souls! We have a coder dedicated to making Combat an automated process, but for now, keep reading to learn how Combat currently works in Hangata.
In order to partake in combat, enter a wilderness area and @ the moderation team telling them you would like to partake in combat. At which point you will be asked to roll 1d12 using the inbuilt Dicebot. Rolling a 7 or greater grants you a victory, while anything below a 7 ends in defeat. You may participate in combat once a day, starting at 12AM Mountain Standard Time. This is not an hourly system, you may fight at 11PM MST, and immediately again at 12AM MST if you like.
Should you be lucky enough to roll a flat 12, you will be granted a Fated Success, and you will be given a prize from our Rare Item Generator as well as the Common Item Generator you will be given a prize from for every successful combat initiative.
Should you be unfortunate enough to roll a flat 1, you will fall prey to a Fated Failure, a point in Destiny where you may have died, but don't worry, your Patron God will step back in to revive you, you'll even receive a short story blurb when it happens! Still, Fated Failures are painful, and you'll require a special item to heal back up before you can fight again. This only effects combat, no other mechanics.
Should you roll a Fated Failure
- Ping the admin [Scarecrow] with a message including your OC's Patron God, so that the Admin can write you a Fated Failure Post!
Wishwound Syrup is a medication developed through Wish's scientific inquiry and Hallow's magic, capable of wresting life from the jaws of death and healing long term painful wounds, anyone serving the Gods would be wise to stock up.
The syrup inside the bottle sparkles like liquid galaxy, the taste seems to vary depending on the drinker, but they always describe it the same odd way: 'it tastes like a good memory I almost forgot...'

Should you roll a Fated Failure, you will need to use Wishwound Syrup before you can participate in combat again.
In order to do so, simply reply to the story blurb you received when Fate Failed You, and use the item from your inventory using our shop and inventory bot [Command: /item use]. Wishwound syrup only costs a small handful of Moonflower Coins, and are dropped for free often enough from combat, so never fear, you'll never be out of the fray for long!
To turn the tides of battle in your favor, you may want to acquire a weapon for yourself.
Characters are welcome to start with a weapon for the sake of roleplay. However, in order to use a weapon which effects the roll of your die, you will need to purchase with Coins, or otherwise earn, a Weapon Slot. This will allow you to create a weapon for use in Hangata's combat system. A weapon does not need art to be able to be used.
To create a weapon, have a Weapon Slot, and head to the weapon and spell effects chat, send a description either text or image based, and the Admin will give you three effects. You may choose One of these effects to apply to your weapon for future use in battle.
Weapons will be ever more important once Combat is automated and their use moves to the upcoming Adventure System.
So stock up!
Weapons made on Weapon Slots will never be lost or broken, so don't be afraid to beef your arsenal up.
You may only use one weapon during combat at this time.
TO USE YOUR WEAPON.
Some weapons are declared before a roll, and some after, depending on which yours is, please link to your weapon in your inventory (Right click - copy message link), the Mods cannot search through every player's thread to track Weapon effects, the onus is on you to link them.
NOTE
While you may in theory have infinite weapons, pets, and spells, we allow the use of three combat effecting items per week. Plan your uses wisely!
