When you are ready to get your character approved, place them in the Character Approvals channel for the Admin to approve.
The Character Approvals channel has a pinned post with information the Admin needs to approve your character! See it.
Once your character is approved, you may make a thread in the Character Intros page to hold all of your characters!
Please see the pinned post in Character Intros for a Character Skeleton you may edit as you see fit!
The Character Skeleton notes some required information; please do not ignore it!
While we do not Require an outside document to track inventories, Hangata has many items and we highly recommend starting a Google Doc, Spreadsheet, or Toyhou.se Page to track all the wonderful things your Pawn obtains.
Pawns and Pantheons has Four character Slot types, let's learn more about them!
Common Souls are the Souls of previous inhabitants of Hangata, or the inhabitants of worlds it has latched onto and parasitized, these are the usual sort to heed their call.
Common Souls belong to beings who wouldn't really be out of place in the world of Hangata even if they were initially born elsewhere. They may be Humanoid or Taur-Like in body shape, but they have more or less human torsos, and faces that are mostly human save for the occasional oddity like strange eyes or sharp teeth.
These Souls may be capable of minor shapeshifting, such as from their base form into that of an animal or monster. But their primary form is always humanoid in shape.
We allow clockwork automata on these slots, but they must visibly run on clockwork, and must remain human in face and body.
NOTES
ON SHAPESHIFTERS
Purely feral characters must be created on another slot type. We allow shapeshifters on Common Slots as it fits in with the lore and as a show of good will. However, players who are seen exclusively using their character's Feral Form to circumvent slot rules will be barred from earning coin with that character until work is done to even out their Humanoid vs Nonhumanoid usage once more. We do not have an exact total you must use of one vs the other, but try to keep it as even as possible.
THE SPIRIT OF THE RULES
Please maintain the spirit of the character creation rules. We do not allow using makeup, tattoos, or markings to mimic an anthro face over a human one (I.E you may not use dog nose makeup or tattoos to mimic having a short/'kemono' face). Nor do we allow anthros on common slots if they have 'no fur', (I.E you may not give your fur-less character a cat nose and mouth and justify it by saying they have no fur.) If you join simply to push the boundaries of the rules, it shows a disheartening disrespect to not only the setting, but the team who works to run it.
Common Soul Examples

Great Souls are the souls of anthropomorphic animalistic or monstrous beings from outside of Hangata who do not mesh well with the universe, and are therefore harder to summon into the world in a usable form. They are also the souls of Hangata's native anthros.
Anthros do not occur 'naturally' in Hangata, they are always the result of out of control magic ingested by Hangata from a world where they do occur, or essentially 'synthetic beings' or 'golems' made of flesh who were created by another person by combining various parts and then granting them life.
For these reasons, they are not a usual sight, most people in Hangata will live and die having never seen anything like an anthro, although many, most even aside from the most minuscule, hidden of towns, will have at least heard rumors of their existence.

Pure Souls are the souls of beasts, non-human automaton, and synthetic beings, animals, fantasy animals, living objects, and robotic beings who operate on technology or who appear to operate on technology beyond clockwork and magic are borne of pure souls.
While living objects and sentient animals may by technicality be more common in Hangata than beings like anthros, their souls are much more delicate and rarely stay intact after death long enough to be reborn, much less survive being pulled from other worlds into Hangata, for that reason you see far fewer of them recruited into the service of the Pantheon.

When one falls within the binds of a Pact with a member of the Pantheon, this is the resulting soul the God they served gains control of.
By using Requiem Echoes [ see: Currencies ] you may barter with the gods, and Bring Back a character previously lost!
You will never be Forced to lose a character; this is a gameplay decision on your side. Never fear.
[ see: Character Loss ]
Characters who are brought back may be brought back in the the same body they inhabited when they fell, or may have their soul placed in a new vessel.
Which is to say, a character brought back on this slot may use their original design, or be redesigned entirely according to the slot they were initially created on. If you wish to upgrade the soul, you will need both a Reincarnated soul, and a Soul of the type the new design would use if creating a new character.
