Why Pass The Mic?:

I think it's important to provide spaces for members of marginalized groups that they feel they can turn to and be heard. There are very few places on campus and in the U.S. that do so, and I want to be a part of providing such a space, as it is a necessary one. Marginalized voices are just as important as non-marginalized voices, and they deserve to be treated as such.

Goals for Pass The Mic:

My goal is to have Pass the Mic spread across campus and be more accessible to all as well as inspire members of our community to provide spaces similar to Pass the Mic wherever they go post-graduation. I also hope that people can grow from Pass the Mic by learning from each other and learning more about themselves. I hope that people can find a sense of community in Pass the Mic.
