Living with Mimma and Duccio has been the ultimate cultural exchange.
In the house, we speak Italian (until Mimma has to translate something for me). Learning recipes from Mimma, watching the news, and trying to make jokes with Duccio have pushed me to keep up my Italian language studies.
Mimma and Duccio have hearts of gold. They open their home to artists around the world so that people can co-exist in a space where their art is valued and celebrated.

Artist Facilities at La Macina
The Artist Apartments
Artists and guests of La Macina live in the Artists Apartments. There are two apartments with a total of 10 beds, 2 kitchens, and 3 bathrooms. Every artist has their own private bedroom.
Both apartments have full kitchens complete with everything needed to cook a feast. There is a laundry room for each apartment.
Mimma and Duccio work hard to facilitate a warm atmosphere in the apartments so that residents can relax and enjoy a cup of tea with their new friends or retreat into their private bedroom for alone time.
