The Artist Apartments

Artists and guests of La Macina live in the Artists Apartments. There are two apartments with a total of 10 beds, 2 kitchens, and 3 bathrooms. Every artist has their own private bedroom.

Both apartments have full kitchens complete with everything needed to cook a feast. There is a laundry room for each apartment.

Mimma and Duccio work hard to facilitate a warm atmosphere in the apartments so that residents can relax and enjoy a cup of tea with their new friends or retreat into their private bedroom for alone time.

The Garden

At least once per week, we have aperitivo (wine and horderves) in the garden. The garden table is also where we host festas.

Artists are welcome to work in the garden whenever they want. I love writing in the garden because Argo and Ettore (the resident dog and cat) usually curl up to sleep by my side.

The Studio

Atists have free rein in the studio. Originally the location of the olive mill and wine cantina, the studio is a massive open space with multiple studio rooms.

We want artists to create together, as a community. The close proximity of everyone's creation spaces encourages resident artists to exchange ideas and collaborate.
