Regional Priority Training List

The program can be used for both Wildland Fire Qualifications and Prescribed Fire Qualifications.  In general, this is for critical needs positions which can be almost any position in the Finance, Logistics, and Planning sections, and middle management (TFLD, DIVS, FELB, HEQB, HMGB, etc.) and above for operational qualifications. If you have a task book that is close to being signed off and have had trouble getting an assignment this may be a good avenue to get that assignment.  As a reminder they have added prescribed fire positions, if individuals have an interest, they will work with the regional fuels group and make sure they have access to the list as well. 

You will need a Wildland Fire Learning Portal account to access the application.

The program will work with IMT’s and dispatch centers across the region and outside of the region to place individuals on assignments when opportunities arise.   In order to be mobilized as a Priority Trainee you must do three things:

• Compete the registration form (on the portal access below or embedded in the story map)

• Update your status in using the PTP form-  this will send Chris Buhrig an email letting her know your status.

• Update your status in IROC- It is important that when an order is placed, it does not come back to the dispatch center that you are not available.
