Today we covered the etiquette of saying Salaams to Muslims, Who we are as Muslims, and the story of Adam AS.

For next week students are not assigned homework but IMPORTANT: they MUST bring their Level 1 Workbook & Textbook from last year. If they cannot find it parents are asked to bring a note saying the books could not be found. They will then bring new books.

Next week we will begin discussing the Five Pillars of Islam and Six Pillars of Iman.
What was covered today:*
Alhamdulillah today we reviewed the homework from last week and reviewed the lesson on Islamic etiquette in the classroom. We also reviewed the Basmala and learned about the 99 names of Allah.
Homework for next week:*
Students have been assigned pages 18 and 19 in their Workbook. We also ask parents to kindly review their homework from last week with them (pages 14, 15 and 16) as these pages have now been graded.
What will be covered next week:*
In Shaa Allah next week we will review and grade this week's homework, and discuss the Hadith of Jibril AS on Islam, Ihsan and Iman.
First week intro and bio*
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatul Allahi wa Barakatu! I am Sister Iman, your child's teacher for Islamic Studies Level 2, along with Brother Shayaan. This first week was focused on introducing students to teachers (and vice versa) and introducing the course content. We look forward to making process using our excellent Textbooks and Workbooks.
What was covered today:*
Today we introduced ourselves then covered the Adab (Etiquette) of an Islamic Studies classroom. We then moved on to the Basmala as a means of blessing every beginning by beseeching Allah SWT, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Students were assigned pages 14, 15 and 16 from the Workbook (Level 2)
What will be covered next week:*
Next week we will review the chapter on Bismillah, and begin the lesson on the Names of Allah SWT.
