Food consists of ingesting the necessary food to provide our body with the fuel our vital functions require.
Good nutrition is based on eating the necessary nutrients, the necessary calories, drinking plenty of water and varying the food.
Many people are not able to respect a good diet, either because they eat more than they need or because they eat less. To maintain a healthy diet, each person must know what they need, for example a person who does a lot of sport should eat a lot more food than a sedentary person, since his body needs it to perform these activities correctly.
Food consists of nutrients (substance that feeds us and ensures the proper growth of our body) and these in turn are divided according to the amounts needed and the energy they provide in macronutrients and micronutrients.
The macronutrients are dispensable to ingest them in greater quantity, since they contribute more energy to our organism. The macronutrients are divided into three groups: carbohydrates or carbohydrates, fats or lipids and proteins.
Micronutrients are needed in smaller quantities, and do not provide as much energy to our body as the previous ones. They are divided into: vitamins, minerals and water.
