Whakapapa / Family Tree
You need to identify some of your family history. Everyone has a different story of their background, and you need to do some detective work to find out who you really are.
Discovery – How could you start to discover your family history? What tools could you use? What knowledge is already held by your Whānau? How far back can you go?
Interpretation – What does this information mean to you? How does it make you feel?
Ideation – Come up with some ideas about how you might show off your ancestry. Can you find out more about 1 of your ascendants?
Experimentation -
Outcomes – Present a Family Tree and a summary of any interesting people in your whanau. You can use a family tree template.
Outcome: Make sure you have your family tree and ancestors saved into your Class Notebook
