Situation: to photograph your idea/concept and present it in a variety of different ways. Take a series (2-3) of photoshoots that approach your idea/concept in different ways using pictorial devices and a range of different light sources. Presentation of your photographs will be in the form of photomontage, Concertina book, folded photos, and sequences
Discovery –
Discover by photographing at school, at home and other locations/sites of your choice. Consider the lighting/time of day you photograph and using a range of pictorial devices. A Camera can be loaned from the Shape department if required.
Discover the way artists make Concertina's/Photo Books. Using your own images and other's images, make an 8-page Concertina book. You use the photomontage process to put multiple photos together to make a composition
Discover ways to make photographs appear 3D by using the methods of reconstruction and deconstruction
Interpretation – Investigate established practice (artists) and examples to give you inspiration and ideas for taking photographs, making Photo Books and making photos 3D
Ideation – present your ideas so that your selection of photographs are sequenced, printed wallet size and stuck into your little book. Photographically document your Photo Book from different angles and your 3D photographs
Experimentation – take at least 2 photoshoots to discover topic/ideas using a variety of pictorial devices and compositions. Print photographs and find other images to experiment with different pictorial devices and compositions
Outcomes –a series of photographic ideas using a range of conventions that visually communicates topic/ideas, Concertina/Photo Book, 3D photographs and sequenced photographs (printed wallet size). Present evidence in your Little Book or Class Notebook
