Refunctioning and Re-recognising
Upcycling
Situation: Make a series of Marquette’s that use recycled materials to refunction their purpose and physical form
Discovery: Find some examples to download and print or upload to your Class Notebook of recycled materials being used to create new forms and functions
Interpretation: Brainstorm some of the thoughts and ideas that come to mind when looking at what you have found. Paper, fabric and plastic are three materials that can be used in a variety of different ways
Ideation: Begin to explore some options with the materials you have or would like to use
Experimentation: Trial and text how you can join, fold, connect or bind your material/s together
Outcome: Create a series of three Marquette’s that use materials, now regarded as waste and want not to refunction their purpose and visibility
