Moving Image
Situation - to make a short animation, stop motion or film
Discovery –
Interpretation – watch and identify the idea/s that are being communicated in at least two moving image examples. Identify the key ideas being communicated. What techniques or conventions have been used? How is sound or text handled?
Visual techniques could include:
· imagery, such as stock images, image manipulation using software to modify or create your visual elements
· camera shots and angles (for example close up/medium/long shots, wide angle, low/high angle shots, zoom, pan)
· colour
· symbol
· editing, layout, positioning and sequencing.
Verbal techniques could include
· humour
· rhyming
· dialogue
quotation
· lyrics
Ideation – Brainstorm ideas around the topic you might like to create a moving image of. Select sound and text if applicable.
Experimentation – Make a storyboard. Experiment with sound (dialogue, music, sound effects) or text (font and type)
Outcomes – Short Animation, Stop Motion or Film
