ATTENTION
Oral Presentation
Situation: You will present your research and response on a self-selected topic to an audience of your choice. You may use a Power Point or other visuals that can support your presentation including cue cards
Discovery – Explore a range of oral presentations - ted talk, lecture talk
Interpretation – Consider your ideas/topic. What do I feel needs to be refunctioned or re-recognised. How would it best be presented? What mode of presentation will be ideal?
Experimentation – Write a draft. Consider visuals. Present to a friend and ask for feedback about content, eye contact, and body language
Outcomes – Oral presentation with or without visuals.
When considering your idea/topic:
Re‑function: changing what something does
Re‑functioning means assigning a new function to an existing object—often one it was not originally designed for.
Re‑recognise: changing how something is seen or valued
Re‑recognising is more conceptual. It means rethinking the meaning, status, or cultural value of something.
