Newbridge provides paid breaks and meals for all field staff, regardless of state requirements. We ensure all scheduling remains compliant with applicable state labor laws while prioritizing staff comfort and performance.
General Break Guidelines (All States Unless Otherwise Required by Law):
4 hours or less → No break
4.5 to 5.5 hours → 1 paid 15-minute break
6 to 6.5 hours → 2 paid 15-minute breaks
6.5 to 7.5 hours → 1 paid 15-minute break + 1 paid 30-minute meal
8+ hours → 2 paid 15-minute breaks + 1 paid 30-minute meal
All breaks and meals are paid. Breaks should be scheduled evenly throughout the shift and not within the first or last hour.
These guidelines are a general standard. If state law requires additional or earlier breaks, those requirements must be followed.
