Setting Up Your Enclosing Folder
Before creating a Premiere Pro project you need to setup your project folder on NEXIS. You need the following folders.
Creating a Project
Open Premiere Pro. - you should be asked to you want to create a new project.
When you get to the New Project Window Navigate to your NEXIS Space and save in your PP Projects folder
Saving the Project
Now save the project.
Set up your workspace
The Assembly workspace is a good place to start. Simply select Assembly at the top of the screen or choose Window > Workspaces > Assembly. Then select the Media Browser tab or choose Window > Media Browser from the main menu. Navigate to your media files — on your local drive or a network drive — and if they appear in a list, click the thumbnail view icon at the bottom of the panel.
Review and import your media
Slowly glide your cursor over each video thumbnail to preview it. Select a video you want to import, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS), and choose Import from the menu. Repeat this step for each video you want to import.
Creating a New Sequence
You should edit with a HD 1920 X 1080 (1.777) (16/9) timeline. If your final deliverable is DCI Cinemascope (1.9) you should use a cinemascope mask. See below
