After Effects Roller Instructions
Editing the credits Photoshop document
Most end credit rollers are created by animating a ‘long’ Photoshop document.
Download the NFS Graphics Kit
Open NFSEndRollerTextNEW.psd
It’s a ‘long’ Photoshop document formatted correctly as a end roller
Looking at the Layers
Left justified = all the text to the right of the centre margin
Right Justified = all the text to left of the centre margin
Centre Justified = all the centered text
To edit the roller
Select the text with the Selector tool
Select the Text tool
Overtype with your credits
You will have to add rows in the text blocks for your credits. Make sure you keep the rows even on the left and right sides.
Save the Roller with the same name
Editing the credits AfterEffects Composition
Open the NFS_Roller_Template.aep
It’s an After FX project which will animate the roller.
Select the NFSRollerText layer - open Transform
Click the Next Keyframe button
You should be on exactly 25 secs
Adjust the Y Position until the last credit disappears at the top of the frame
Playback the roller. The roller credits should disappear off the top of the frame at 25 seconds and the logo will fade up and down over 5 seconds.
Rendering the Roller
Select Composition>Add to Media Encoder Render Queue
this will open Adobe Media Encoder
Use these settings and save to you project folder.
