Authoring a DCP using Adobe Media Encoder

  1. Open Adobe Media Encoder

  2. Drag your clip into the Queue window

  3. Select the Wraptor preset

  4. Select settings

Choosing your DCP aspect ratio

You have two choices for the aspect ratio


  1. DCI Scope 2048 x 858 - use this if you want to create a cinemascope DCP

  2. DCI Flat 1998 x 1080 - use this if you want to create a 16 by 9 Flat DCP


Adjust the Source Scaling so your film fits correctly within the desired aspect ratio

Select where you want to save the file and click Start to render the DCP

What you end up with is a folder containing all the elements of the DCP. You should supply this folder to the exhibitors.

Copy your DCP folder to NEXIS/DCP's and liase with Film Support for a playout.
