Exporting a DigiCut for ProTools and Resolve

Before exporting your timeline to ProTools you need to export a guide video+audio file for reference during the mix. Use these instructions. Exporting guide video/audio for ProTools and Resolve

Preparing your sequence for ProTools export

When exporting for Pro Tools we need to provide the timeline and a guide video. To do this we export the audio and video with an .aaf file. The .aaf file tells Pro Tools how to rebuild the timeline.

Before you export you will need to duplicate the sequence, delete the video tracks and remove any settings you may have applied to the audio tracks.

Duplicating your sequence

Locate your locked cut and duplicate it – name it MyFilmProtools

Open your new sequence and delete the video tracks

Select all the audio, right click and select Remove Attributes…

Your sequence is now ready to be exported to protools
