Born in to the Wrong Religion?

For humility sake and so we can approach this study the correct way.......Let's assume we are born in to the wrong religion. Start over, throw everything out, start fresh.

Purpose of religion and purpose of this study:

• On your next day off, just pay attention for 24 hours. Notice the sunsets, sun rises, seasons, times, days. Now look at thousands of years of history that can be calculated, studied and graphed. The sun and all the planets rotate and spin, tilt at their own speeds and directions while they just float through nothing. Meditate and think about that, how accurate and precise that has been for thousands, millions, billions of years, and will continue to be. Times and seasons have only had very slight differences in ice ages and warm ages. The purpose of this study and the purpose of religion is to give praise and find a relationship with whoever or whatever created this amazing universe that is right on schedule.

Simply put: James 1: 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

If you believe in one creator YHWH, (God) then the religion he wants is to simply take care of others, and don't be like the rest of the world (polluted), be holy. Why are we using the Bible? Is it the correct source?

• Have you ever wondered why God chose Abraham to bless out of all the people in the world at that time? Noah? Moses? I love these history lessons about Abraham. From the Jewish History book of Josephus, and Jewish Oral history:

• Abram stayed in the cave until he was ten years old. During this time he came to believe in the existence of G‑d through reasoning. Abram had watched the sun and the moon and the stars coming and going, each in its own time. He had noticed the sun giving way to the moon, despite its apparent divine power, and the moon giving place to the sun in the morning. And so he reasoned that there must be a Power above and beyond all the visible forces of nature, a Power Who had created them, and Who regulated and controlled them at all times. Behind the limited power of all nature, young Abram perceived the unlimited and timeless existence of G‑d.
• One day, Abram took an axe and destroyed all his father’s idols. Only the largest remained intact. When Terah saw his idols shattered and scattered all over the floor, he accused Abram. But Abram said that the largest of the idols had killed all the others in a fight over an offering brought to them. Terah exclaimed that such a thing was impossible, since idols could not quarrel or fight. Then he realized that his son tricked him into admitting that the idols made of stone and wood could not even move, and he became very angry.

• Chapter 8:1. Now after this, when a famine had invaded the land of Canaan, and Abram had discovered that the Egyptians were in a flourishing condition, he was disposed to go down to them: both to partake of the plenty they enjoyed, and to become an auditor of their Priests, and to know what they said concerning the Gods: designing either to follow them, if they had better notions than he; or to convert them into a better way, if his own notions proved the truest.
• After reading these, God didn't just pluck a random person, at a young age. Abram used his reasoning to know there was something more and then he searched and seeked answers. He actually went to live with Noah for many years to get all the direct knowledge from him. (Noah lived 350 yrs after flood to 950 yrs old. Abraham lived to 175 yrs old)

Let's take a stab at each religion just to prove a point.

Jews: Read, study, know the Torah and the prophets, then study only what Jesus said, He says very little that is new, almost everything he said is from your scriptures.

Christians (protestants): Read, study, know the Torah and the prophets (old testament) The Jews and those books are to be an example to you, learn from them, do what it says. Understand that almost everything that identifies you as a Christian today also identified the Roman and Egyptian gentiles for the last 5000 years as sun and fertility worshipers.

Christians (catholics): Read, study, know the entire Bible, do what it says, you are relying on religion or rituals instead of a relationship with your creator. You are missing out on so much life that is available to you. Study all the end time prophecies throughout the Bible, the catholic religion is the false religion, and the protestant, muslims are also very close. Read how much Jesus tore apart his Jewish religious leaders (pharisees / sadducees) for being religious. But Jesus also said "do what they say, not what they do"

Muslims: Your religion comes from the old testament, read it, study it, know it. You also need the new testament to understand the Koran. You hate Christians because you say "there is only one God" and you are correct. However in your own Koran it has a story of Jesus forming a dove from dust, breathing in to it and then it flew away. The Christians need that verse to prove Jesus is God. You need the new testament to prove there is no trinity. You are relying on merely human rules, find a relationship with your creator.

Atheist / Evolutionist: When science continues to prove what the Bible says, will you then believe? 1st work on forgiving and letting go of all your hate. Once you can do that, start thinking and observing life. Once you can think for yourself and you can observe things around you, then understand that while it was created for our enjoyment, it does not revolve around us. We were created for the Creators enjoyment.. Pay attention, use your gifts, use science, start by admitting there is a Creator and you want to find the Creator, don't seek religion!

Eastern religions: I need help here, I have not studied these yet.

Hopefully we learn from this study that the important thing is that we pursue a relationship with the Creator's Holy Spirit. This will guide you to the correct community for you to be a part of. We should be part of a community to learn and teach and support each other. If your Christian, Jewish, Muslim community teach us to have a relationship with the Creator, that's great! If they teach us to follow human traditions not from your Creator, or teach us to worship the earth or created things, or to serve yourself first, then we are in the wrong place.
