Music really makes the world go around. Music has changed my life personally and I’m sure it has changed others. As a kid I was always dancing and having fun to music. I took a hip hop dance class in elementary school where we had class three times a week. This is where my love for music started. My brother and I loved to dance to anything on the radio and any song at all. We had dance performances at the talent show in elementary school. That would grow out and I would pick up the trumpet in middle school. We had tons of concerts and playing an instrument was a great thing for me because I can now read music. Reading music In the 8th grade, I picked up another skill that would change my life. I bought a Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 and was gifted a speaker as I learned how to DJ. I would be a disc jockey for school dances around my city, fundraisers, house parties, birthday parties and many other events. This really made me fall in love with music and listening to new music became an everyday thing. Music has shaped my life. It has brought me friends, it gave me a job, and it helps me relax or get up and excited. Music is very important to me because it relieves any anxiety or any worries that I have. My most listened to artists are Tyler, the Creator, Brent Faiyaz, Giveon, Frank Ocean, and many others. I enjoy listening to R&B type music, rap/hip-hop, reggae, and jazz occasionally. These genres and artists are very important to me because I’ve been through a lot with memories of listening to this type of music. Music has helped me focus, calm down, and even make some good money. Life without music would be a whole different world.
