Tour Builder

This is a great new tool from Google. It's still in Beta version at the moment so it will be improved as it's tested - but it already works really well and it's actually very quick and easy to use.

Essentially, it allows you to tell a story by plotting it on map - which can be a great way of bringing the story to life. To each stage of the story, you can add text, pictures and video.

It has obvious applications when you have been on a physical trip but you don't need to be limited by that.

If you were studying a literary text where the characters make a journey, you could plot that journey on the map and link to the relevant chapters.

In history, you could use it to tell the story of a battle.
