EVALUATION

It's helpful to divide your evaluation into two stages - formative and summative.

Typically, the formative evaluation will take place in the early stages, possibly before launch, and it will give you a chance to change your ideas. Summative evaluation will come at the end of a certain period of time and it will give you a sense of how successful your new technology has been and whether or not it has had the desired effect.

Make sure the evaluation is included as a vital stage in your planning - not just as an after-thought. Good early evaluation can help you to solve problems before they become too significant.
