Guided Practice is a teaching strategy that is focused on scientific skills and processes. This strategy follows an "I do", "we do", "you do" model. After an attention-grabbing hook, the teacher explains the content to the students before the practice begins. Once the content and skill have been covered by the teacher, there is a gradual release of responsibility onto the students for practicing that skill.
