The 1930s were a golden age for classic cinema, bringing us the rise of the talkies, unforgettable stars, early mysteries, adventure films and some of the most iconic monster movies ever made.
This is where you’ll find my reviews from the decade, including Universal horror, classic mysteries, early thrillers and the films that helped shape cinema history.
The 1930s is one of my favorite decades. Universal made some of their best films during this time. Movies could get away with more during this time before the film code came into effect. This meant that horror movies during this time were stronger than the 1940s.
