This time period falls basically from 10,000 BCE to 1200 CE, in other words its the "Ancient" History of the world. It is important to at least know some things from this time period as it encompasses topics like the Neolithic Revolution, River Valley Civilizations, Egyptians, Greece, Persia, Rome, and the creation of religions and empires. It will not be tested by the CB but knowing at least some of this material will help you better understand and contextualize the content from Units 1-9. These videos below do a good job of summarizing the most important points from the massive amount of history dropped from the course.
The snapshot is a basic outline of the major concepts, topics, and themes present within this particular unit.
This slide show will give extra notes to help contextualize the next Unit.
