Business & Community Partnerships
My Lab Redesign Project for Howells-Dodge Consolidated High School exemplifies my ability to maintain effective business and community partnerships in my CTE program. This redesign includes a layout of the shop in its current state as well as a layout after I redesigned it. This redesign includes standards that are up to code with what is required for businesses across the country. The new design allows students to get a real-life experience of a setting where they could potentially be employed. This project allowed me to do a lot of research about how a shop should safely be laid out. This established partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including employers, community organizations, and other educational institutions. I plan to use what I learned during this project to ensure that my shop setting is a safe place for students to learn and grow.
My Advisory Board Outline demonstrates my ability to build and maintain effective business and community partnerships. This outline illustrates how I will incorporate business and community personnel into advisory roles in my CTE program. This document outlines the steps on how I will create the advisory board, who I will include on the board, and what the roles will be for each member. This outline involves establishing partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including employers, community organizations, and other educational institutions. These partnerships provide students with valuable opportunities for career exploration, work-based learning, and postsecondary transitions. I plan on implementing this advisory board to effectively utilize and enhance student learning and program effectiveness.
