Student Assessment
My Miter Saw Safety Program illustrates that I can implement high-quality assessments. Specifically, the safety and parts quizzes demonstrate that I can assess data used to inform instruction, identify areas for improvement, and guide program modifications. This Safety Program also shows I can provide assessments that are directly aligned with program standards, curriculum objectives, and student learning outcomes. I will apply these ideas to my Ag Ed program by providing multiple assessment strategies that will indicate the learning that is happening in the classroom.
My Assessment Report illustrates that I have experience and understanding of implementing effective student assessment in Agriculture programs. My Assessment Report shows that my program will use multiple forms of assessment, including formative and summative assessments. These assessments are used to measure student learning across all domains (technical, academic, employability). It also shows that I can implement assessment methods that are chosen or developed to ensure accurate and reliable measurements of student knowledge and skills. My assessment report shows that my students answered questions with 93% success and were confident about how prepared they were before going into the assessment. My assessment report uses student data to inform instruction, identify areas for improvement, and guide program modifications. I will continue to apply these ideas in my Ag program by continuously obtaining student data and reports in each class that is offered.
