NCPA

The National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) represents the interests of independent and small chain community pharmacists. Independent community pharmacies are your traditional ‘mom and pop’ pharmacies that have a strong heritage of providing excellent patient care and innovative health care services. As an organization we strive to provide our members with knowledge and experience in business ownership, pharmacy management, medication therapy management in community pharmacies, community health, and legislation. One of the most exciting events NCPA holds every year is the Business Planning Competition. As part of this event members will work as a team to develop a business plan for an independent pharmacy from scratch for a chance to win up to $6,000! Additionally, this event earns participants two elective credits. Our student chapter of NCPA is also planning tours of independent pharmacies, an OTC case competition, happy hours with independent pharmacy owners, pharmacy trivia, a community health initiative, and legislative and policy events.
