Erasmus +
Visits from all over the world
„Erasmus+ is a project in which four schools from four different countries take part. This year students from Turkey, Poland and Italy visited us. They stayed in Eberswalde and in its surroundings from April, 15th to 21st 2018 and spent the days with us.
Our guests arrived at Sunday evening. The excitement was great because it was only then that we got to know who will stay at our homes, who will stay in whose family. When the secret was revealed, all families went home with their guests. The next day, Monday, we met in Mrs Uhlig’s (a teacher at our school) room to plan the day. Our guests were welcomed officially by our headmistress in the school hall and some classes had prepared songs for them. After that we showed them our school. We had lunch in our cafeteria and went to our famous zoo in the afternoon where a guide showed us around. Our families picked us up at the zoo and we spent nice evenings with our guests in the families.
On Tuesday, we met at the market place and visited the mayor who led us through the town hall and we got a little present. Later we went shopping. In the afternoon we visited the ship lifting canal in Niederfinow and the monastery in Chorin.
On Wednesday, we had team building activities in the woods with students from the University of Sustainable Development in Eberswalde. In the afternoon we worked on our film project at school.
On Thursday, we went by train to Berlin and discovered the museum of film at Potsdamer Platz. After that we had some time for shopping. This day was really exhausting. The next day, we worked again at our little films about the week. In the evening we had a farewell barbecue at our school. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our Turkish friends who had to leave earlier. On Saturday morning the other guests had to go home, too.
We thank our teachers that we could have this great experience. “
