Ross

Physical Description: 40-45 y/o, 6"4", sturdily built for a man who engages in regular strenuous exercise, slight softening of the middle and significant body hair. Thick auburn salt-and-pepper hair and tends to keep a beard, hazel-brown eyes. 11" cut.

Background: Ross's tale is one of passion and loss. The child of the Alpha of his pack, Ross was always expected to act a certain way, behave a certain way, turn out a certain way. His father's constant pressure took its toll and when he was nineteen, Ross ran away from the pack to forge a trail of his own making. On his travels he met and fell in love with the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen, Samantha. She had been born Beta, and was ostracised from her own pack because of that, so in her he found a kindred spirit. After years of trying, she finally became pregnant with his first -- and their only -- offspring, a son they named Daniel. Their life was relatively normal and stable, assimilating into suburbia. Minivans and soccer games, PTA meetings and play-dates. And then, when Daniel was starting kindergarten, Samantha got sick. Ross would forever blame himself for not noticing at first, for ignoring her symptoms until she was too far gone, but in reality Samantha had kept it to herself so as not to worry Ross or scare Daniel. The cancer was aggressive, inoperable, and fatal. Before Daniel's sixth birthday, she was gone.

Ross returned to the pack of his birth, needing the stability they provided and someone to look after Daniel in his time of grief. The boy was relatively okay through it all-- sad, but not broken the way his father was. Eventually, they were both able to heal, and draw strength from one another. Ross and Daniel have a very close relationship, and the man is wholly dedicated to seeing his son grow up happy and successful. In the years between Samantha's loss and Daniel's presenting as an Alpha, Ross also lost his father and became the Alpha of his pack, and is balancing his normal lifestyle with the pack dynamic, and weighing which would be more healthy for his son.
