Physical Description: From a distance Dallas looks almost indistinguishably human, but when one gets close one can see the difference his mixed heritage affords. His skin has a scale-like sheen in certain light, and his neck has strange striations; gills, which are functional, but only just. The texture of his skin is somewhat slicker than a human's, less porous-feeling, almost like touching a marine mammal's. But it's in his reproductive area that things get a bit more alien (pardon the expression). Pirxine are aquatic and their fish-like ancestors are somewhat closer in their family tree than humans, so they have retained completely internal genitalia in both males and females; while females function in much the same fashion as mammals, males conceal their reproductive appendages inside their groin area until necessary. Though just like other intelligent species, Pirxine are just as likely to engage in sex for pleasure, Pirxine males are notorious for having suppressed sex drives; in fact, Pirxine males tend to suppress all outward emotions or stimuli, as Pirx is a traditionally matriarchal society, while Pirxine females revel in pleasures of the mind and body. In appearance, his genitalia are variegated shades of blue-gray, and the shaft is lined with bumps and subtle ridges. Dallas is easily a shade taller than two meters (about seven feet), and generally has to duck his head to get around the cramped confines of his ship, the Vengeance. He's moderately muscular but quite trim otherwise, and his eyes are a wickedly icy shade of blue-gray that have just a touch of Pirxine bioluminescence around the corneas.
Background: Dallas has very little memory of his mother, since his father took him away from Pirx as soon as he was able to leave the water. He grew up bouncing between space colonies and planetary outposts, scraping out a meager existence on the fringes. Eventually Dallas went his own way, scraping together enough credits to buy a rusty old ship. He fixed it up and started working, mostly taking on courier jobs, but occasionally delving into less legal undertakings. Honestly, he doesn't care what he does, as long as he gets paid.
