Physical Description: Balder is a full-blood Asgardian, and with that comes a certain presence. He is tall, nearly as tall as his best friend CJ at a cool 6'9", with broad shoulders and chest. Unlike his father he has a narrower waist and longer legs, inherited from his lithe mother, and aside from the golden-blonde hair the similarity with Amora otherwise ends. His eyes are clear blue, his jaw is squared-off and his chin has the same little cleft that his father's does. 9.75", uncut.
Powers:
Sorcery: Balder has some knowledge of magic and mysticism, born with stronger affinity due to his mother, though he does not possess her skil or those of his brother, Vincent.
Weapons training: Balder has trained from a young age in the use of sword and staff, as well as hand-to-hand sparring.
Earth-9811 - First Appearance: What If...? Vol 1 #114, "Secret Wars 25 Years Later: Brave New World"
Balder is the son of Thor and Amora, the Enchantress, but he has very little memory of his mother. She abandoned the family when he was a toddler, her affections shifting to Doctor Victor von Doom, only to meet her end when she attempted to betray him -- but not before giving him a son, Vincent. Balder has always lived in his father's impressive shadow, and always held resentment for being weaker than his father but not having the magical prowess of his mother. He had tried for three years straight to lift Mjolnir, only to fail.
When he and his friends discovered a plot by his half-brother Vincent, they gathered to try to stop him, and his friend Sarah (daughter of Captain America and Ms. Marvel, whose personality had been wholly absorbed by Rogue) learned she was the one worthy of the hammer Mjolnir and helped end his plot. Their parents intervened, but the children discovered a device created by the Hulk which, using Mjolnir as a power source, sent them through a portal to an alternate Earth. Before they could get back to their parents, they were attacked by a Sentinel, and while they were able to destroy it the portal closed behind them. One day they will find their way back to their parents -- after they rid this world of Sentinels.
Balder is compatible with most Marvel AUs, the MCU is a little iffy due to them just not introducing Amora. Wing it.
due to having only one appearance, Balder's faceclaim is Alexander Ludwig
