The Patronal Fiesta is an annual event celebrated at the Saint Joseph Parish Church in Echague Isabela and is one of the most important events for the Echaguenos. It honors St. Joseph the patron saint of the worker and serves as a special time of thanksgiving for all the blessings bestowed upon the community.
Patronal Fiesta is a traditional celebration held to honor the patron saint. In Echague, Isabela, our patron saint is Saint Joseph The Worker. Our town celebrates this feast every year with full of prayers, dancing, parades, and special events in our community.
Our church was built with love and strong faith which became the foundation, so that until now we do not forget to go every week or at any time you can go to it, lean on it, and give thanks for all the blessings that are given to us in every day in our lives.
When Fr. Patrick Pua became the parish priest, he initiated the construction of a larger and more spacious church because of the increasing population number of parishioners.
On March 19, a bishop named Bishop Ramon Villena of Bayombong came to bless our church. Many people attended to witness one of the unforgettable moments of blessing our new church.
But now it is still being improved and beautified with the help of donations to the church, support from the people from the community. Everyone is blessed to be part of this very special moment.
And because this happened on March 19, this has become the official Feast in Echague in honor of this very special blessing and tradition.
Patronal Fiesta in our town is more than just a religious event-it's the time for faith to thank our Saint Joseph, Lord, Jesus Christ for blessings and protection, family to have family bonding with out loved ones, culture to enjoy pur unique traditions, parades, food. And also time for Community to show support and unity through giving without expecting anything in return and prayer.
