When the youngest marries first, the older sisters must be given a ring. There is a superstition that older sisters can't marry. The girl has no choice but to marry when the man asks, and the family accepts. It is considered a huge shame in the family when the girl wants to marry a man. But when a woman goes to the man's family or goes to the Imam and asks him to marry her, there is nothing a man can do but marry her. (This is a shame for the family)
It is forbidden to sweep at dusk outside the house because there may be good spirits that are not visible, which can cause illness to the perpetrator or one of his family. It is forbidden to sweep the house at night; it is as bad as sweeping away the grace from the house. The people living there can be poor and will suffer.
When evening falls and darkness sets, in it's wise to keep the lights on indoors. The notion behind this practice stems from the belief that a house or even a bedroom can transcend being a living space. There's a thought that in the dark negative energies may feel comfortable lingering. By leaving the lights illuminated one can ward off these spirits. Maintain a sense of security within the home, against anything eerie.
In households you may observe that there isn't a bedroom designated. This is due to the preference of keeping all family members in proximity. The primary rationale behind this practice is the gatherings for prayers with room, in the house for everyone to participate comfortably.
The names of the husbands, mother-in-law, and teachers who taught how to read the Qur'an are not to be mentioned because they are highly respected. It is believed that if individuals disobey this rule, they will face misfortune.
