Dylan wakes up (we were in the spare room) and we come downstairs at 6.50am. he wants to play pokemon sword on the switch straight away.
Hubby gets up, gets himself ready upstairs and comes down to say good morning while he finishes getting himself sorted for work. He leaves shortly after.
I get podcasts downloaded though I shouldn't need anywhere near the number I get lol, I load up my backpack with my paper trimmer and headphones and put Dylan's clothes on the radiator to warm up.
I check the news on my phone while eating my cereal of Tesco's version of Coco pops. We are running low on milk. More news about Coronavirus - Flybe has gone out of business amid travel distruptions.
I get dressed.
8.17: Dylan is dressed after the mention of possibly catching TJ on the way to school... He continues to play pokemon sword, alarm goes off in 8 mins so he has a bit of time.
We head to school, I drop Dylan in and head straight to the school office where I spend the next 3 hours photocopying and stapling letters together for the mother's Day shop. In that time hubby calls and my mum calls.
Once home I walk straight through grabbing my bag grabbing a shopping bag and back through the back door. I drive to morrisons.
Grabbing the bags to go out though, I remember I have a ton of washing to do (Changed all bedsheets yesterday). I add that to my To Do list.
Mum calls me again, I grab some soup, a baguette, a free book and some milk and head home. Hubby calls.
I go see mum and talk with her and try and reassure her that I'm not overdoing the PTA (this is the first thing I've done since Christmas lol) I am desperate to get home and have food and drink as I wasn't expecting to be so long at the school 😣
I have food (chicken and sweetcorn soup and baguette), watch the pilot episode of a new show called "Zoey's extraordinary playlist" and get a Blu-ray disc of a movie we think will be beneficial for Dylan to see into our media library as that came in the post today.
Dad arrives home after he had been shopping and I pop round to see how he is doing as he has been working in our garden as we have some issues with the fence and we have had a lot of bad weather recently (multiple awful storms). He has a nice surprise for me. A treat which I am excited about as I was hoping to pick up some Donuts at Morrisons and completely forgot.
Next thing I know the 2.45 alarm is going off to go pick Dylan up from school. I have still not yet done any laundry or cleaned up the kitchen and I need to remember to put the finishing touches to my homework for class tomorrow.
I am a little late picking Dylan up and he wants to race around to one of the junior entrances to pick up his friend. TJ and Dylan play pokemon go on the way home.
15.37: arrive home. Dylan grabs his Beano to read and has a snack pot filled with grampys treat.
Then it is time for epic tales of captain underpants on Netflix. I need to get Dylan's costume ready for celebrating world book Day (despite its actually book day today)
I also get a load of laundry on while I remember
I put the finishing touches to my homework for class tomorrow - I decided to do something a little fancy and do it as a faux letterboard.
While I do that on the computer, I watch Joliet4 on twitch.
4.45: Dylan has run out of bubble gum - he likes chewing so it helps him. He has a meltdown, I manage to calm him down and get out of him what is wrong. Once we have cuddles and he is ready to go out (I talk to him about how he should have simply told me that he needed to chew and he had no more gum left and I would have gone out to get it with him as it was important to him) We walk to the local shop and pick up another roll of hubba bubba.
I have a call from mum. I have a text from hubs - he will be a little late home as there is a leaving gathering for someone at work.
I get the kitchen cleaned up (before shot) while I watch YouTube on the iPad. Dylan has stopped watching captain underpants and is back playing Pokémon sword.
Laundry finished, I get it out and sort what needs tumble drying and what needs to go on the airer. I haven't even thought about dinner yet and it's 5.40pm 🙈 I quickly pop on my Chromebook to check up on my websites as I realise there is an issue with my Photolog. I get that fixed super quickly but check the other ones while I'm at it.
News pops up: first Coronavirus patient in the UK dies and there are now 116 confirmed cases.
Hubs is home around 6.30 (around normal time) so he really wasn't late at all. I get Dylan in the bath.
Once he is out I realise I hadn't put all the laundry on the airer - I got distracted by something else 🙈 finish that off.
Hubs goes upstairs to sort himself out and I put a sausage roll with some beans in the microwave. I eat that up. Dylan is still insisting he doesn't want anything...
7.25: Dylan is hungry and wants spaghetti Bolognese. We have no mince but I have a compromise - I will cook sausages he wants the skin taken off, we will mash it up, mix it with Bolognese sauce and add spaghetti. Dylan is on board - I get him to promise me he will eat it as I'm not wasting my time and it should be his bed time. Today has just been a disaster.
8pm: Dylan refuses to eat the food he asked me to cook - he doesn't like the smell. He requests fish fingers, chips and beans - he is told no chance it is too late at night. He has corned beef sandwich. We are still watching captain underpants. Hubby is ready for bed and I'm beat too. Messages on PTA group chat for help for an event tomorrow.
8.17pm hubs goes up to bed and I'm still sat with Dylan trying to get him to eat. He has 3 more mins before I take him to bed regardless - I am super tired.
Dylan only eats half the sandwich and I send him to bed. Have cuddles with hubs in bed while Dylan keeps getting up (goes to the bathroom, checks on us, is scared) he finally falls asleep as do we.
I am up, however, at 2.15am. Dylan actually sleeps through the night after he finally fell asleep, in his own bed!
