PHOTOLOG

Welcome to my Daily Grind photolog! All current Logs are in the menu to your left - Or if you are on mobile, use the hamburger menu in the top left for the drop down.

I really can’t say how much I’ve enjoyed this project. What started through Dodo's Message Board we used to take photos on an agreed date and share within the community, and now Ali Edwards does a version which is fun to follow along with, if you are interested in getting started.

This project gave me such insight to other countries, traditions and ways of life, and I’ve been participating since 2002! It’s such a cool feeling to look back over all my past grinds that I joined in and see old work friends who I lost contact with, see my great nan who we sadly lost in January 2007 and to see a spread of food across the table at my nan’s house which as we have all grown and have our own families and responsibilities we don't have anymore - I would enjoy going to visit on a Saturday but now I work Saturdays I now visit my nan on a Friday.

Can you remember step-by-step what you did Christmas Day in 2003? I have been lucky enough to have Grinds on such days as my cousin’s wedding and I collected all the photos and put them into a scrapbook album to remember her special day. My first holiday without my parents to Egypt. How life was like for me when I lived with my parents and brother before I moved into my own flat and lived alone - and then what life was like before my son was born and a day while I was pregnant with him.

I treasure all these memories that I get back to look over, and my son enjoys looking over them too - mostly the ones of him in my tummy onwards though :) I thoroughly encourage you to have a go. Whether you turn the entries into a scrapbook or whether you do what the DMB community did and I have continued, and put them on to a "photolog" of your own.
