Enrollment for 2026–27
As we plan for next year, our goal is to keep any tuition increases as minimal as possible yet reach a balanced budget. One of the most effective ways to reduce pressure on tuition is to welcome additional families into our community. To support this effort, we are hoping to enroll five more students for the 2026–27 school year.
To help us reach this goal, we are offering a special incentive for current families:
Family Referral Incentives
If your family refers another family who attends an Open House January 22nd or schedules a private tour:2.5 service hours ($25) will be applied to your 30 annual service hour requirements
OR
If a family you referred enrolls at Mistwood: 15 service hours, ($150) toward your school service obligation
These incentives apply for each new family you bring who engages in the process.
Your personal experiences and genuine recommendations are the most meaningful introduction new families receive. Thank you for helping us grow our Mistwood community and for supporting our efforts to keep tuition increases modest and sustainable.
If you have any questions or would like referral materials to share, please let us know, we’re happy to help!
We need all of our families to help our school meet the fundraising goal of $7,000 or $250 per student this year. Our first fundraiser is selling Straw House coffee.
We. are asking families to sell 10 or more bags of locally roasted coffee. Each bag sells for $16 per bag, with $6.50 from every sale going directly to our school.
Proceeds will help us buy a new copier for the school since our current copier died. Coffee sales forms are in the student folders at the front desk.
If you are not interested in selling coffee you can make a donation of $65 or more directly to the school at the front dest OR here with pay-pal.

Remember to come IN and up students in groups 1, 2 and 2.5. Please make sure that a staff member knows you have taking charge of your child. We do not require "signing out" you student before 4:00pm, but we do need to see that an adult on the pick up list has taken responsibility for them.
If you have a student in group 3-4 that is planning on walking after school without an adult, please complete a "walker-wavier".
Reminder that class does not end till 3:30 and then students have chores till about 3:45. We have been having a lot of students leaving without doing their chores. Please make sure the students have done their chores before leaving.
All students in after-care AND clubs, we now have a sign-out sheet. Please sign-out your students if you pick them up after 4pm.
If your student is NOT enrolled in After Care or Clubs they must be picked up by 4pm.
Pick up for students after 4pm (who are not registered in a club or aftercare) is subject to a $5 for every 15 minutes late.
Students that ARE enrolled in After Care or Clubs should be picked up by 4:30. (Occasionally DND club will run late, but is ALWAYS done by 4:45).

Once a month, Mistwood sets aside a day for staff in-service to give teachers time for planning, collaboration, and campus care. During these days, teachers meet to review student progress, refine curriculum, and keep classrooms clean, safe, and organized—since Mistwood does not employ a janitor or maintenance staff. This fall, we’ve added a few additional in-service days to the scheduled to complete our WASC self-study, an important accreditation process that helps our school continue to grow and improve.
We understand that in-service days may be an inconvenience for some families; however, they are essential to keeping our school safe, clean, and continually improving, while also allowing us to maintain affordable tuition by not employing additional maintenance or janitorial staff.
