Halloween at Mistwood is a joyful, community-centered celebration that blends creativity, imagination, and student leadership. Students are invited to wear costumes to school on October 31 and participate in a festive morning costume showcase at 10:00 AM, where families are warmly welcome to attend and enjoy the fun.

To keep the day safe and welcoming for all ages, costumes should follow school guidelines: they must align with dress code expectations, avoid recent pop-culture references (from the last 30 years), not be overly scary, and may not include weapons, gore, or anything depicting violence, illegal activities, or disrespectful themes. These guidelines help ensure every student feels comfortable, included, and ready to celebrate.

At 3:00 PM, the day concludes with party games and healthy treats provided by families. We invite caregivers who would like to contribute a game or snack to sign up at the front desk the week prior.
