Accepting Applications for Fall 2026
Each spring, Mistwood celebrates the season with one of our most beloved traditions—our annual Spring Egg Hunt. This isn’t a typical egg hunt; it’s a collaborative, curiosity-filled adventure designed to spark teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Instead of simply searching for hidden eggs, students work in mixed-age groups to create and solve clues for one another. Each group designs a trail of riddles for their peers to follow. When the final clue is solved, students discover a secret password that unlocks the next step of the adventure—leading them to the hidden eggs waiting inside. This tradition transforms a simple celebration into an engaging learning experience that blends logic, literacy, cooperation, and fun.
As part of our commitment to ethical consumption and global responsibility, some eggs include treats from Tony’s Chocolonely, a company known for its dedication to fair trade and the elimination of forced labor in chocolate production.
We also invite our community to help fill eggs with small, non-plastic treasures that reflect our values of sustainability and creativity. Suggested contributions include natural toys, seed packets, handmade items, eco-friendly art supplies, or small upcycled trinkets from home.
Celebrations like this reflect what makes Mistwood special: meaningful traditions, mixed-age collaboration, and joyful learning experiences that connect fun with purpose.
