- Crazy amount of camera wandering and obstruction in Act 1, a lot more can be seen in Act 2, but it's still not the best quality and strays

Miskolc | May 7, 2001
Seres Ildikó (Elisabeth), Szabó P. Szilveszter (a Halál), Dolhai Attila (e/c Luigi Lucheni), Arany Tamás (u/s Rudolf)
NOTES: (VOB + smalls - 4.36 GB) Proving that sometimes emergency covers are great, and sometimes they're... well, interesting might be the most generous word here. Dolhai only played Rudolf up to this point, so the fact that he was called in as e/c for Lucheni shows just how desperate the staff were. (The original Lucheni, Dézsi Szabó Gábor, came down with vocal chord inflammation and the show was originally going to be cancelled, but Dolhai Attila offered to step in and learnt the role in one afternoon. He was assisted by the original Lucheni, prompters, and the conductor.)

NOTES: (MP4 - 2.99 GB) Blindshot from upper balcony. No zooms, and significant washout; you can also see the spotlight beams. Act I is better than Act II in terms of obstruction... Anyway, this is a "not particularly replica" production of Elisabeth, with some interesting directorial choices... Nevertheless, the cast is very strong, and I was genuinely impressed by the actors, the orchestration, the sets and costumes, and the blocking of specific songs.
