Semi-pro shot using one camera on a tripod. Even though this circulates as 1988 San Jose CLO, the video does not appear to be from that production. The San Jose production played January 1989 with Ed Evanko and Jean Stapleton in the roles of Mr. & Mrs. Lovett. The video features different actors in different costumes (based on production photographs found online)

NOTES: (VOB + smalls) A perfect capture of this Sondheim classic at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. A really nicely staged production with great sets and costumes and fantastic talent. David and Tory and wonderful, and the supporting cast is solid as well. This has no blackouts and no washout; there is some slight obstruction when the actors come into the audience, but no obstruction when they are on stage. It's filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. 2 DISCS

Carolee is an absolute delight to watch in this role, and Craig was a fabulous Sweeney Todd as well! Never to be sold except by master, never to be posted in part or in whole anywhere online.

- I was surprised by how much I ended up loving Emma's Mrs Lovett. She's sweet and her comedic timing and delivery are perfect! I also like the way she's a bit fearful and cautious around Sweeney when he gets intense. Her vocals may not be strong, but honestly her acting makes up for it. Bryn on the other hand has an incredible voice, but he doesn't do much in the acting department. Despite that, I feel like they worked well together.
