BLURB: Instead of being a source of domination and conformity, schools should reflect and serve the unique needs of the communities that they reside in. Educators need to partner with members of the community so unique skills and knowledge of the community are shared. We can embark on collaborations and projects that better serve the students and families we work with. In this way schools would become centers of community enrichment, where not just children learn, but we all learn to solve our collective problems together.
