BLURB: The system of education has been set up to undervalue educators–a profession that is predominately made up of women. Educators are continually asked to do more with less. The exploitation of the altruism of care for our students undervalues the work we do. We want to empower women and all members to push back when more work is asked without adequate compensation. We believe in equal pay for equal work which includes adequate compensation for the valued work of educating. Schools are a space where people spend a lot of time - bodily autonomy must be respected in order to maintain trans rights.
