BLURB: Education in the United States has a long and sordid history of perpetuating white supremacy through dehumanization and playing an integral part in mass incarceration. As educators, it is our responsibility to disrupt racism in our schools and in larger society that results in schools that fall short of students' needs. We know that as educators we cannot defend public education without taking white supremacy head on, fighting for transformative levels of funding required for students, schools, and communities to thrive.
