Stage  3: Comprehension

Please download the text below and read it. Read the text several times, imagining yourself in different roles.:

• first time - you are the artist, 

• second time - you are the parent, 

• third time - you are an art expert,

• and fourth time - you are a representative of the City Council. 

While reading, underline the parts of the sentence or key words that, depending on your role, support or oppose the presence of the mural on the wall of the school. It is advisable to use a different colour for each role!

Think about the opinion expressed by each of the roles concerning the impact of the painting and whether this painting is provocative or not. 

Which is their strongest argument?
