I am currently employed as a Registered Nurse in the medication and wellness clinic within the outpatient mental health unit at the Oak Valley Health Markham Stouffville site in Ontario, Canada.
My current role includes providing treatment, education and support for individuals with mental illness. I ensure that my patients receive their long acting injections and Clozaril monitoring at the specified intervals to maintain their mental health and wellness. My role also involves health teaching on how to maintain lifestyle changes to manage metabolic syndrome. My background is surgical nursing and mental health. I am an active member of the clinical education committee working group and the accreditation team for year 2022. I am also a preceptor for RN, RPN students. I enjoy teaching and look forward to teaching nursing students in an academic facility.

I am a Registered Nurse working in the capacity as a Hospital Care Coordinator at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. In this role I help support discharge planning ensuring that patients who require services (PSW, nursing, PT, OT) when they return at home are set up for a safe return home and support their return to their baseline, or support them in palliation goals. I also support patients who are not able to return home, and need long term care placements by completing their applications.
I have worked in the past for primary care physicians, worked as a palliative community nurse, and most recently as a diabetes nurse educator for the adult diabetes program.

Currently, I am a Registered Nurse working with Ottawa Public Health (OPH) as a public health nurse working in quality assurance. With OPH I work on several projects including, but not limited to: investigations of adverse events following immunizations and incident reporting from immunization clinics. A also work for Algonquin College as a clinical coordinator for the Practical Nursing and BScN program. My role is to facilitate student clinical placements and provide support and guidance to students and instructors.
I started my career as a Registered Practical Nurse and have thrived to further my education. I have a diverse nursing background including complex continuing care, critical care, and oral surgery.
