Hi, I'm Rebecca! I'm originally from NL, Canada, where I graduated from The Centre for Nursing Studies with my bachelor of nursing degree and I also started my nursing career there. I now live in Calgary, AB and have been nursing here for over 5 years. My background of nursing is in the NICU and I have worked in a variety of NICUs between Calgary and NL. This is my second semester in my Masters of Nursing, which I plan to utilize someday to become a nurse educator or to just open other doors to different job opportunities in the future, but currently, I love my job as a bedside NICU nurse! I am looking forward to this course and I am hoping to do some research related to my current area of practice, which is a lot of surgical cases and babies withdrawing from narcotics. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, eating, travelling and reading.

Hello, I am Jacquelyn, and I live just outside Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. I enjoy spending time in our Rocky Mountains, hiking, camping, and paddleboarding, and I look forward to using my newly purchased kayak this summer. I took my undergraduate degree (BScN) from MacEwan University in Edmonton, graduating in 2013. I was a staff nurse in an adult and pediatric level one trauma center for seven years. I then transitioned into an education position travelling within the province, teaching a new computer charting system. I decided to do my Master’s program because I enjoy the education and leadership aspects of my job and want to move my career in that direction.
