Ainslie Meares taught his patients how to voluntarily meditate. To rest naturally in deep relaxation that dissolved tension, anxiety & pain AND to let the calm and ease spread through daily life. Initially, Meares' called Stillness Meditation "the relaxing mental exercise" as back in the mid1960s many people did not know about a "new" mysterious thing called meditation. Things have changed since then.
